Issues Committee
About Us
The purpose of the Chapter’s Issues Committee is to remain abreast of all significant legislative proposals or considerations within the Commonwealth that may affect the interests of the Chapter’s membership. As advocates of surgeons within the Chapter, committee members liaise with existing lobbying organizations, national ACS staff within the College’s Division of Advocacy & Health Policy, and the offices of elected state officials in order to ensure that Virginia continues to foster the work of our surgeons and the quality care we provide to our patients.
