CANCER & TRAUMA PHYSICIAN-IN-TRAINING PAPER COMPETITION

Thursday, November 4 | 3-6 PM

The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACS COC) and Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) announce their call for abstracts for the 2021 Physician in Training Paper Competition. The competition fosters the development of physician scientists in the fields of oncology and trauma.  We will hold a virtual competition on Thursday, November 4th from 3-6 PM.  View the agenda below.

 

PRESENTATIONS

All submissions will be expected to present a PowerPoint style presentation on November 4th. The presentation will be 10 minutes long (7 minute presentation + 3 minute Q&A).


Two of the presentations in the COC and in the COT competition will  be selected as winners to receive a cash prize and present at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Virginia Chapter, ACS on April 29 & 30th at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.   The COT  winners will be forwarded to the national level competition for consideration and possible presentation at the ACS Clinical Congress in 2022 .
